SASA is your creative guide, leading you through the design journey toward spaces of reconnection and joy.

1. We Connect
This is where our journey begins. We can meet at a cafe or on your land. Whatever suits you.
We chat but I mostly listen to your ideas with the aim of extracting the essence of what you want to achieve.
You don’t have to come prepared. Most people have a few ideas and maybe a Pinterest board, it is up to you. You’re welcome to share any details you have on the property e.g. any existing plans. We’ll uncover the rest.

2. Concept Design
Next, we alchemise ideas into architecture.
We start with sketches that explore the rhythm of spaces, sometimes offering a few paths to unlock your site’s potential.
We’ll meet to go through these early visions, refining them with your thoughts before moving forward.
In the second stage, we develop the ideas digitally in ArchiCad creating a set of plans, elevations, and preliminary 3D views revealing both interior and exterior possibilities.

3. Developed Design
The palette deepens, interiors and exteriors find harmony, and your vision feels more tangible.
Now it is time to weave consultant information in, refining things until decisions feel complete and ready for building consent documentation.
We prepare a Developed Design package of architectural drawings, outline specifications, and consultant reports. The scope, cost, and character of your building are becoming clear.
If a resource consent is needed, we’ll guide this process on your behalf.
This is when most clients obtain a construction cost estimate before proceeding to building consent documentation.

4. Building Consent
This stage is where detail becomes destiny.
Here, we craft the most comprehensive set of documents, the blueprint for your build and the foundation of your contract with the main contractor.
Every element is captured: general arrangements, intricate details, schedules, specifications, and compliance checks to ensure harmony with the Building Code.
We continue to coordinate with consultants, weaving their expertise into the design.
Thorough documentation safeguards quality, controls cost and preserves the integrity of your vision. -
5. Construction
We believe in bringing builders into the conversation early so that design meets craft and ambition aligns with practical wisdom.
During construction, the contractor carries the responsibility for delivering the work as agreed, but we remain your watchful partner.
We visit the site regularly, observing progress, safeguarding quality, and ensuring the integrity of the design endures.
